Worthing for the 3rd time in 4 years successful came first in their Area during the 2016/17 campaign. The awards were handed out at an Awards Evening hosted by Wimpy UK in May 2017. Wimpy Loughton eventually went on to be crowned Wimpy of the Year 2016/17 for the second year in a row. Despite missing out on the biggest prize Assistant Manager Nick had this to say:
"Although we were disappointed not to win Wimpy of the Year it's important to always take the positives. We won our Area for the 3rd time in 4 years and that in itself is a great achievement. I told all the staff that we have to turn any negative feelings we're experiencing into positivity and work even harder this year to win Wimpy of the Year. I'm confident we'll be able to bounce back stronger and give an even better shot at it over the next campaign!"
